Organs of Your Spirit - Part I

As three-dimensional beings, we must have often wondered how our spirit and soul may look like. Some people may even believe that their soul and spirit exist within their head. However, our spirit and soul resemble our bodies and are whole, which means that if a person is amputated or has a disability, their spirit and soul are the same as any other whole human being. Our spirit was created in the image of God and if we separate our spirit, soul, and body, they all look the same like we see in the image shown below. This explains why our spirit, like our body, has organs. Satan has the same power to corrupt our spirit's organs as he does our body's organs. 

 
An organ is a part of the body that performs a specific function. Here are some of the organs of our spirit being.  
 

1. Organ of Knowledge:  which helps us in receiving God's supernatural knowledge, allowing us to know things as God knows them. It functions as a conduit for God's knowledge. As believers, we must stimulate this organ or Satan will attempt to corrupt it.

2. Organ of Understanding: It helps in receiving understanding of visions, dreams, revelation, and interpretation. It lets us understand something vast and profound in a millisecond, making it impossible to describe how you gained the understanding in such a short period of time. 

3. Memory organ or spiritual brain: This is the organ in which our spiritual memory is recorded. We must have encountered moments where we recall a spiritual insight that was revealed to us a long time ago. The spiritual brain assists us in bringing all of this knowledge to us at the correct time so that we can apply it and acquire control of the situation in order to be triumphant in Christ.

4. Organ of conscience: Our organ of conscience is where we make decisions. It assists us in being prudent and determining if a situation is right or wrong. Titus 1:15 shows that our conscience can be defiled. This occurs when Satan corrupts our conscience and seizes control of our judgement. We may not recognise it until it is too late, but no matter how late it is, always repent and submit your conscience to Jesus, asking His Spirit for guidance. 

 

To the pure all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but even their mind and conscience are defiled.  

 

5. Organ of forehead: We carry names and symbols  that have profound spiritual significance that Christ would write on our foreheads. Although we may not be able to see it, is manifest in the spiritual realm, and the devil is aware of it, so he will exercise caution when dealing with you. 

 

Then I looked, and behold, a Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His Father’s name written on their foreheads. 

Revelation 14: 1-2  

6. Spiritual ears: The ability to hear in the spiritual world is provided through spiritual ears. Sometimes we experience the blowing of trumpets, babies crying, coins falling, car crashes, screaming voices, conversation of angels or demons, songs of angels, voice of Jesus. We get to hear into the spiritual realm to be aware of what is happening around us. For instance, one sign that a couple is soon to become pregnant, is when you pray for them and you hear the sound of a baby crying. The sound of cars crashing would indicate an impending disaster that you have to pray against.  

 

I once overheard a spirit talk so hatefully over me during the months I was preparing for my wedding. Before I could comprehend what was happening, I wondered how someone could harbour such a burning hatred for me. I clearly heard the voice telling me, among many other things, that I won't be wearing a gown implying that I won't get married. One things to always remember when you have any such experience is to only share it with those who have a proper understanding of the spiritual world and would join you in prayer. I shared this to my then-fiancé, who is now my husband, as well as to a pastor who was praying for us. Together, we three prayed in the name of Jesus against this spirit, whose motives were revealed to me through their voice. In any case, do not be alarmed by the enemy's threat because, if the enemy's strategy is made known, we will surely triumph over it in the name of Jesus. The spiritual dimension is revealed to redeem us in the physical realm, always keep that in mind.
